The riverside area of Lisbon is strongly marked by the break between the city and the river. Alfama riverfront is actually the only place where the city can ‘reach the river'.The aim of the intervention is to give this public place back to the city enviroment thanks to the re-invention and the revitalization of Alfama.

The intervention strategy is based on area recovery creating quality public spaces in order to attract local people.
Considering the local problems of the area, the goal is to elaborate an urban plan giving solutions that have corrispondence in the historical analysis of the area and can dialogue with the development of the urban fabric.
